We’re delighted that you’re interested in a Massage Therapy career! One of the most frequent comments massage therapists make about their occupation is, "I don’t dread going to work, I love what I do!" They feel this way because a career in Massage Therapy allows them to help people in a meaningful way with an emphasis on individualized care. Massage Therapy provides an opportunity to express caring and well-being in a way that is both personally and professionally rewarding.

Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage has been the leader in Massage Therapy education since 1999.  With over 30 years of combined experience our senior instructors and staff are knowledgeable about the Massage Therapy field, have training and certification in a number of different massage modalities, and know not only how to perform these different types of massage, but what tools are necessary to do the job well.  All staff members are Reflexologist in as well as being LMTs. This additional certification can broaden your opportunities and is available, at a discount, to all TSTM graduates. Bottom line: we’re passionate about what we do!

Our graduates’ massage therapy licensing examination scores tell it all. We have an 86.67% pass rate compared to other schools rate of 69.91%. We also have an overall placement rate of 84.3%! The tools we use during your time here at TSTM include the latest massage therapy textbooks, workbooks, flash cards, PowerPoint® presentations and color-coded skeletons. We also use Zahourek Maniken® Anatomy in Clay®. We are also adding a new software program to our 2012 massage therapy class call Muscles and Motion! This exciting software enables to students to view individual muscles performing all of their actions. Designing a marketing, as an assignment, fully prepares the professional therapists to launch their career. You will also receive training in other specific modalities above and beyond Swedish massage. You will have the advantage of training in our Advanced Spa Clinic where you have the opportunity to perfect your skills in a private setting. Services performed in this setting are Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Aromatherapy Treatments, Prenatal Massage, Couples Massage, Secluded Swedish Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. This gives you exponential experience that makes you even more marketable upon graduation!

If you’ve already scheduled a tour, we will see you soon. If you haven’t scheduled one yet we encourage you to schedule an appointment to tour our facilities. Our owner and educational director would love to discuss how you can begin training for a career as a licensed massage therapist!
